MEET AMANDA
Amanda Carr
Head of Dance & Dramatic Integration (Hollywood)
Amanda Carr is an accomplished professional dancer, choreographer, and educator dedicated to helping young performers find joy, confidence, and emotional expression through movement. She believes that dance is a powerful vehicle for storytelling, and she focuses on helping students connect physical technique with authentic character intentions.
Amanda grew up in the dance studio, training extensively in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and partnering, while also performing in musicals with a children’s theatre company. As a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, her extensive professional background spans commercial film, television, live stage performance, and an impressive roster of theatrical choreography credits for celebrated youth productions including Matilda, Chicago, Beauty and the Beast, and Something Rotten.
With nearly a decade of experience teaching students across Southern California, Amanda specializes in breaking down complex movement patterns into accessible, fun steps for ages 3 to 18. In her classes, she masterfully bridges movement and acting—challenging students to strip away physical choreography to explore the pure emotion of a piece through improvisation and text, ultimately returning to their dancing with deeper artistic intention.
Amanda is thrilled to bring her passion for Triple Threat excellence to the Seren Arts Hollywood family!
