SEREN ARTS

Your Questions, Answered:

  • All our staff hold enhanced DBS checks and there is at least one fully paediatric trained first aider on site at all times . All our staff are trained by Seren Arts and complete further safeguarding training with ICAP.

  • All students must wear Seren Arts uniform - Seren Arts t shirt with any black leggings, joggers or sweat pants. Students do not need specialist dance shoes, regular trainers or sneakers are fine. But all footwear must be closed toe (no sandals or flip flops)

  • Plenty of water and enthusiasm!

  • We do our best to accommodate friend or sibling groupings within the same age band, just let us know when booking.

  • That’s totally okay! Many children start out feeling shy. Our friendly, experienced team are fantastic at settling nervous children and helping them feel safe, seen, and supported.

  • We are confident that students will love our classes but on the rare occasion when it’s not a great fit, we would happily consider a refund of the term fees less the cost of the first class.

  • It’s important that children attend all sessions so that they can get the most out of the programme and progress at a study pace through our exams. However, we recognise that sometimes there are important family events to attend. Just give us plenty of notice and we can advise on exercises so that your child doesn’t feel left behind when they return to class.

  • We never want income to be a barrier to participation in the Arts. Please email us if you would like to be considered for a bursary place

  • Yes—Mountview exams are mapped to the RQF, ensuring nationally recognised standards. They are also in the process of receiving Ofqual recognition

  • LAMDA and ABRSM exams assess disciplines separately. Mountview exams assess students as complete triple threat performers. If your child has already taken these exams, then this will be helpful for working towards Mountview Exams, but not essential.

  • Yes—students are supported at all levels. We are looking for passion and potential in the arts as much as anything else.
